A Purpose-Drive 100th Anniversary Celebration
The Boy Scouts of America's 100th Anniversary represents much more than a date on the calendar. It is once -in-a-lifetime opportunity to tell the entire Scouting in America story, to celebrate our rich heritage and to instill a deeper appreciation for the important role Scouting will play in our country's future.
We want every Scout, adult leader, and parent in the Crater Lake council to become part of this exciting adventure. The Crater Lake Council 100th Anniversary Plan explains our plan and provides an opportunity for each of you to take part.
This summary will be updated periodically as events and volunteer names are added.

Boy Scouts of America 2010 Celebrate Scouting Stamp Celebrate Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America and the United States Postal Service! In 2010, the year of our 100th Anniversary, the Boy Scouts of America will receive an incredible honor from the United States Postal Service in the form of a "Celebrate Scouting" stamp. A tribute to the impact of a century of Scouting on the American landscape, the stamp will become widely available during the summer of 2010.
Since 1910, Scouting has served young people and their families through a program of values -based leadership and character. Continuing the BSA's long tradition of servcie and good turns, we will bring deeper purpose to the Celebrate Scouting stamp by sending letters and care packages to the military men and women serving our country overseas. Also included in this effort are the many veterans who have honorably served our country throughout the years. Join us in the effort! You can start today by visiting the USPS website, where you will find important guidelines and information for keeping in touch with our troops overseas. Scouts, BSA staff, volunteers - or anyone who'd like to join our effort - are invited to explore the available resources. There are an array of tools to help you develop a thoughtful letter or care package that reminds our troops how much we appreciate and value their service.
